Millionaire in the Making

aha moment jae m rang Oct 07, 2024

Ask anyone if they’d like to earn a million dollars a year and most would respond with an enthusiastic, ‘YES’, but only .1% of the population actually do.

Why is that?

It’s mostly that they do not have the awareness of what it takes to earn that kind of money and the system is not set up to teach it.  (I golfed with a lady the other day who is a business professor at a local college which I found interesting because she has never herself run a business).  The system teaches you to get a job.

Jobs are essential to keep our economy rolling however the professions that can earn you that big money – professional athlete, actor, surgeon, corporate lawyer, consultant – require substantial education, training, experience, exposure, and I’ll throw in there, being a committed dream builder.  This level of achievement is far from common.

A non-job, or business owner, stands a better chance of earning a cool million or more year over year because they create a niche for themselves, are continually educating, tweaking their value, take advantage of tax strategies that employees can’t access, and learn to leverage themselves.  But is there something simple that the average individual can do to get into the big money?

Aha! ~ “Reduce it to the ridiculous” ~ Bob Proctor

A couple of decades ago I sat with Bob at his kitchen table and we decided on what gifts – “triggers” as his right-hand (wo)man, Gina, always called them – would be used in his Science of Getting Rich seminar series.  One such that we developed was a calculator that when you turned it on would illuminate the words, “Reduce it to the ridiculous”.

Bob always carried around a pocket calculator and loved playing with numbers. What he would do is take your goal and chunk it down enough to where the number you needed to pay attention to was within your level of awareness and comfort, then teach you how to be consistent on building that number.

Divide $1m by 12 months = $83,333 per month (way too big)

Divide that by the average number of working days in a month = $4166.66 (still too big)

Divide that by the average number of working hours in a day = $520.83 (that’s a little more palatable)

Your goal, then, would be to find ways to earn $520.83 per hour, eight hours a day for five days a week.  Notice I say, “ways”, not “a way”.  The second Aha! comes in not how to find a job that pays you $520.83 per hour, but how to create “multiple streams of income”, leveraging your time and resources, that add up to $520.83 per hour.

Simple? Yes.  Easy? If you are open to learn the strategy and are coachable, yes to that, too!

Time and money freedom are yours for the taking.

This week I am developing my 23rd stream of income. Some are fairly substantial, others trickle, but they all add up.  You know I am always happy to share my strategies.  I am an email away.
