The Pillar Pulse: CELEBRATION

jae m rang the pillar pulse Aug 20, 2024

This week is full of fireworks with Canada Day on the 1st and Independence Day on the 4th!  Our theme for this week’s edition of The Pillar Pulse, fittingly, is “Celebration”.

When you have your eye on the prize, the focus of energy is on the work and not the pause.  It’s just as important, though, to know when to grind and when to rejoice, even if the victories are small ones.  It helps us stay grounded in gratitude.

Enjoy this edition in celebration of our amazing journey together.

🏛️PHYSICAL

The funny thing about alcohol is that it’s the only drug you need to apologize for not taking!  Social convention dictates that in order to celebrate properly you need plenty of booze, fatty snacks and sugary treats.  When you stop to think about it, it is rather counter-intuitive to acknowledge wins with toxins.

Topping up my research to complete 50 Simple Ways to Release the Shackles of Self-Sabotage helped me connect more dots around the role media, social pressure and programming play in dragging ourselves down during times of celebration.  It doesn’t seem fair, just or rational, but we do it anyway.

Empowered celebrating may require a little re-parenting of ourselves - inspired by self-love - but there’s an APP for that (of course I mean appetizer!) or perhaps change up celebrating altogether with a group hike, shopping trip or pickle ball tournament.

🏛️FINANCIAL

Most experts will agree with the strategy of paying yourself first. However, with rapidly rising inflation many are not keeping up with their expenses never mind skimming off 10% to stash away.

Inflation means an increase in the money supply – it’s just another tax – and an increase in the money supply means your current dollars continue to decline in purchasing power.  SO, mathematically speaking, even if you were to skim off 10% and save it in dollars, its purchasing value would decline year over year.

Take hold, though, as the strategy of paying yourself first is brilliant, you just need the right instrument. Don’t make this $1,000,000 mistakeBook your seat now to learn how to start stacking assets on any budget.  www.ahumanapproach.com/powered-by-silver

🏛️INTELLECTUAL

Dr. Ivan Meisner, the Founder of BNI and author of Giver’s Gain, emphasizes the power of the Law of Reciprocity. Life mirrors our actions; whatever you put out comes back to you. The Universe rewards your generosity with an equal and opposite reaction.

Gifts may not return in the same form, directly from the recipient, or within the time frame you expect, but they always find their way back.

Return Me® embodies this principle perfectly. Your clients and stakeholders can feel secure knowing that when they attach your branded Return Me® tag to their keys or electronics, lost items can be easily returned. Right now, Return Me® has a summer promotion: buy a branded luggage tag and receive two cell tags FREE! Email  [email protected] for more details!

The Law of Reciprocity has never been so tangible!

🏛️SPIRITUAL

It’s important that we pay attention to words, how and when we use them.  Take the word “week”, as in work week, for instance.  Week is a homonym for “weak”.   They sound the same but the energy conveyed by “weak” can have an unintended negative effect.  Consequently the weekend becomes the weakened; a time when we have exhausted ourselves and can’t wait for a joyful distraction or just sleep.

Despite appearances, “work” is not like other four-letter words 😊  Your work is your opportunity of a lifetime, to find purpose and leave your indelible mark on society.

Brian and I are not suggesting you throw a party every time you accomplish something, but suggest that regular recognition of forward movement is healthy.  Mini celebrations also remind us that we never accomplish anything alone.  Recognize and appreciate the people and circumstances that play a role in your journey to succeed deliberately.  Now, let’s get to work in Human U
