jae m rang the pillar pulse Aug 20, 2024

Welcome to THE PILLAR PULSE, where we explore the foundations of success and fulfillment. You may have noticed that we’ve consolidated everything—marketing, personal development, and more—under one roof at www.AHumanApproach.com. Why? Because it's time to recognize that we’re not just B2B or B2C; we’re H2H (Human to Human). Behind every email address, customer number, or URL is a person striving to expand, grow, and express themselves.

While technology enhances our efficiency—and we should embrace it, as time is our most valuable commodity—nothing truly moves until we do. At the core of it all are the four pillars of strength: PHYSICAL, FINANCIAL, INTELLECTUAL, and SPIRITUAL. The goal of THE PILLAR PULSE is to offer continuous insights, success blueprints, videos, opportunities, and humor, all aimed at fast-tracking your journey toward a life filled with greater purpose, connection, and freedom. Succeed deliberately!

🏛️PHYSICAL

Last week in Human U we hosted a delightful mom, teacher and entrepreneur, Robyn Meaney.  Since Robyn was 18 she has taken a holistic approach to the health of her and her family by eating whole foods, removing toxins in her environment, even blending her own creams and oils.  The discussion about Chapter #24 from 50 Simple Ways to Release the Shackles of Self-Sabotage entitled “Read Labels” was so rich with Robyn’s contributions which included her personal recipe for Elderberry Syrup for when you’re not quite feeling like yourself.  Here is that recipe for you.  The recording of that call is in the Human U Library.  To your health!

This is for a small batch:

6 cups of elderberries

9 cups of water

1 cinnamon stick

4-5 TBSP rosehips

6 TBSP freshly grated ginger

5 cloves

Boil ingredients.......allow to simmer for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours ish. Keep the lid mostly on, allowing only steam to escape.

Strain (cheesecloth and you will want to squeeze out all of the juice from the berries )......and allow to cool,  so it's not piping hot.

Once at almost room temperature (slightly warmed), pour in 1 1/2 cups of raw honey - it's important to not add the honey when it's too hot, warm is best so the honey dissolves.

Add 2-3 juiced lemons

2 TBSP of Brandy per litre.

This will keep for about 6-8 weeks in the fridge if you have brandy in it. Not using Brandy will reduce the shelf life to about 2 weeks. Only use Brandy, as it is also a cough expectorant. I've tried other alcohols and this one by far is the best. I just buy the cheap Brandy. Those who wish not to put alcohol in it, just be aware it won’t last as long.

🏛️FINANCIAL

Have you noticed your grocery, car insurance, and electricity bills rising? Inflation might not be what you think. If you’re familiar with the Bretton Woods agreement of 1944, you know world leaders designated the U.S. dollar as the world reserve currency. However, in 1971, Nixon temporarily took the dollar off the gold standard, making it a fiat currency backed by nothing. (Listen here)

The dollar remained strong through an agreement with Saudi Arabia to use USD for oil purchases, known as the "Petro Dollar." This agreement ended on June 9th of this year, leaving the dollar backed only by confidence in the government. The U.S. now generates $1 trillion more debt every hundred days, and Canada is in a similar situation. The more money printed, the less it’s worth, which is why everything seems more expensive.

The solution is simple: Sound Money. "Gold and silver are money, everything else is credit." ~ J.P Morgan. Precious metals are a great strategy for protecting and growing your wealth but not one you likely learned in school.  Time to relearn? 🏛️INTELLECTUAL

I attended a small industry event today and discovered, through conversations with peers and colleagues, that the last four years have been far from business-as-usual. Some felt relief that their business has returned to a semblance of normalcy, though their numbers are still down. Others have made substantial changes to remain relevant and brace for future challenges. Many admitted to simply “plugging along,” hoping for better times.

As I asked questions and listened, it became clear that everyone operates from different levels of understanding about what is truly happening. This is not surprising, given the conflicting and misleading information widely circulated. Understanding the bigger agenda brings clarity, especially in these unprecedented times, where preparation may need to differ from past practices.

What concerns me is the number of people outsourcing their thinking, waiting for perceived authorities to dictate their next steps. It's crucial to take personal responsibility, think critically, and make informed decisions. Imagine the difference it would make in 10 years if schools today taught self-love, entrepreneurship, and collaborative living. By taking control of our own destinies, we can navigate life's challenges more effectively and create a future where we are empowered and self-reliant.

🏛️SPIRITUAL

What’s your story? Many people define themselves by their titles: “I am a Manager at XYZ company,” “I am a mother of three,” “I am a high school teacher,” “I am a caregiver.” Others identify through personal experiences: “I was born in France and moved to Saskatoon at age five,” “I am recently divorced,” “I was abused as a child,” “I never had the chance for formal education.”

Regardless of their beginnings—loved or unloved, affluent or poor, mentored or self-reliant—some people create abundant lives, while others remain trapped by their past. Tony Robbins addresses this in his powerful talk, One of The Most Eye Opening Speeches Ever | Tony Robbins - YouTube Truth is, we are not our stories; they are simply our programming running in the background, or habits.

Chapter #17 in "50 Simple Ways to Release the Shackles of Self-Sabotage," titled “Release the Victim Mentality,” emphasizes that clinging to old stories as excuses prevents us from living fully. While much of our programming was set by age six the adult you has the power to override it and craft a new narrative. What part of your story can you use to your advantage by turning it around?  Start with, “I am so happy and grateful now that….”
